This creation consists of an SCACD stamp, papers are from Kaisercraft.  Guipure Lace, self-adhesive rhinestones, and flowers are of course from the fabulous WOC
The large dark purple flowers are made using Flower Blooms.  Thanks to Bev for sharing this fantastic tutorial by the wonderful Enastasia.  These flowers are so fun and so easy to make!  I know I will be making LOTS more of these beauties!  I love them!!!  The rest of the arrangement consists of  Lilac Poppy Flowers, 10mm roses, 4mm closed rosebuds, a heather stem, and plum Gypsophilas.

Pretty In Pink

Hello peeps and hope that you are all OK.

I thought I’d share a card I made recently with you  which uses some of the beautiful blooms that are available at Wild Orchid Crafts right now.

 Picture 001c copy

And it’s this one here.

I used the blooms to enhance the image and I wanted it to look like the swing was hanging from the flower garland.

Picture 009c copy

The centre flower is a 40mm Classic Sweet Rose in pale pink. Then I made 2 sprays for each side using 6mm closed rosebuds,  some 8mm semi open roses, and some 5mm closed rosebuds. The ‘fill in’ flowers are 15mm open roses, and 10mm open roses.

I find the easiest way to do these is to make up the sprays first – just bind the wire stems together and bend into the shape you want, then adhere to your card leaving enough room for the fill in flowers.

Picture 008c copy

I also used some vintage seam binding which I made into 2 little bows. This is the prettiest stuff I have seen in ages and it is so easy to work with :) I finished off the bows with a  self adhesive pearl  and also added some on either side of the sentiment.

If you find that you haven't got the exact colour pearl or rhinestone that you need  to match your card, you can colour the white pearls and clear rhinestones using your Copics or Pro Markers.

Thank you for looking today and all other card details can be found here.

Enjoy the rest of your day and hugs to all xxx

Thanks a Bunch......

Good Morning!!
Today I have a more mainly card to share. I don't really
love to do them because I love adding alot of embellies!
I usually find "manly" embellies hard to do but I love how this
card turned out. I filled the card but it is not girly.

The newer summer blooms flowers, I think, are perfect as they
are not too flashy for a male card. Here I used a white and blue
one.  I just added a simple pearl in the center of each and
added some Rock Candy distress paint to them.
Also the vintage seam binding in Walnut doesn't look
to girly either. I wet the ribbon and scrunched it up then
placed in a bag over night to get it all messy and crinkly.

To finish it off I just added a few rhinestones down the side.
(Buttons I think are always good for a manly card as well!)

Is anyone else with me when making the manly cards?
Usually I don't like them but I rather like the selection on this one!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
:)Kathy

Mini Easter Basket!

I wanted to show you guys a little idea that I had for a fun Easter basket! These can be decorated with all the wonderful embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts!

You will need to start with 2 ovals and 1 strip of paper 12"x 2 1/2" scored at 1/2" mark, and a strip 12" x 1".  The ovals need to be small enough for the 12" strip to go around.  Snip the scored section ever so often and add adhesive tape to the oval.

Start attaching the long strip to the oval like so.  This what the base will look like.

Cut 4 strips of tulle about 1 1/2" wide and long enough to gather. My strips were 10' long and I doubled them to make them 5' to sew.  Sew down the middle of 3 of the strips and gather to 12" long each.

Start attaching the strips of gathered tulle to the basket.  For this step I used hot glue because you need it to hold pretty quickly.  Glue all three strips of tulle onto the basket.

Add the handle and the second oval to the inside to cover up the snipped edges.  Take the 4th strip of tulle doubled and start wrapping around the handle until the handle is covered.

Now the fun part begins with adding the gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts!!  I added the 25mm Two Tone Baby pink Wild Roses, 15mm open roses and 6mm Rosebud along with White Heather Stems and Pink Tulip Vintage Seam Binding

For this yellow "boy" basket I went with the Yellow Daffodils which were sooooo perfect for Easter!!! I also added in some orange 15mm open roses.

If you would like more information on how I came up with this idea, check out my blog HERE.

Thank you for coming by the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog today! Keep checking back because we have so much more to show you!

Hugs, Dena

Roses and Heather!!

Nothing can cheer up little Tilda as much as loads of finery from Wild Orchid Crafts....gosh everything from WOC even cheers me up!!!!

The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts and resting on MS punched branches: Heather Stem Flowers (which I have shortened), 15mm Open Roses, and a 25mm Open Rose all airbrushed with Copics for deeper color, and adding a wee White Heart Shaped Bead to match the heart bead on the bow. Finally the front was finished with Self-Adhesive Rhinestones which are exceptionally sparkly!!

Thank you so much for dropping by to see what's happening at the WOC and we hope you will drop by often! Hugs from Jacque!!

100% Sweet.....

Good Morning!
Today I have a card featuring alot of gorgeous
Wild Orchid Craft goodies!! All my favorite stuff!!!

I don't think I can make a card nowadays without this gorgeous
I usually crinkle it up but this time I just added some
Marshmellow glimmer mist to it and left as is. To get
it to look that full I just layered 2 bows on top of each other.
The flowers also have gimmer mist on them. I received my DT
kit and it had the new GORGEOUS Paper trellis roses!!
They are even prettier in real life ~ like something that is all over
a wedding cake!! Oh I love them! LOL

These flowers were made by layering some of the new summer blooms
in white with the 15mm pale blue roses. As you can see I had
to throw in some pretty pearls!

Well thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you all have a wonderful week-end and
a fabulous Valentines Day!
:)Kathy

Twisted Easel Card!

Hello there! I would like to show you a little twist on the easel card.  That is exactly what it is called "Twisted Easel Card".  I first saw this on Marlene's blog and found this video tutorial HERE.  This is a Valentine card for my daughter, who made sure I knew she expected a card from me. haha!
I have loaded this card up with all my favorite Wild Orchid Craft items. Here are the items I used:

Don't you love the new color of this Hellebores?  Such a soft, sweet pink.  I used some leftover pieces of the Guipure lace as accents.  I don't throw anything away!

You can see that I made the bottom piece a pocket and tucked a message to Alyssa in it.  There just wasn't enough room for a good message.  You pull it out with the seam binding ribbon.

Here is another view so you can see how it folds.
I colored my sweet Hanglar with distress inks and the papers are Making Memories - Je t'adore.  I used a Magnolia Doohickey die also.

Thank you for visiting the Wild Orchid Crafts blog today!

Hugs, Dena
